Elected Officers of Council 8909
Each year the council elects and appoints new men to take on leadership roles within our council. The following Knights were elected at the June General Meeting for the upcoming fiscal year. Congratulate them on their commitment to service.

Grand Knight
I joined the Knights of Columbus because they are a fraternal mens group associated with the catholic church. I can't but GOD CAN !
Brian Dupuis
Deputy Grand Knight
The deputy grand knight serves as the grand knight's right-hand man and fills in for the grand knight when he is not present.
Juan Vazquez
Chancellor
I joined the knights of Columbus in 2022 to give back to my community and my church. I have become close friends with other fellow knights who believe in the same ideals and challenge me to be a better Christian man.
John Svisco
Treasurer
The treasurer is responsible for managing the council funds, whether in bank or school accounts. He receives money from the financial secretary and deposits funds into council accounts. He is also responsible for paying all council expenses.

Joining the Knights of Columbus #8909 has been a magnificent way to meet Christian men who want to give their time, talent, and treasure for the betterment of those who are struggling and have less.

Recorder
The recorder has the responsibility of recording all meetings and events held by the council. He should record minutes, conversations and other information helpful to the council and prepare them to be distributed to the membership in a timely manner.

Warden
The warden is responsible for the property owned by the council. He is also in charge of setting up meetings and leads both the inside and outside guards.

Inside Guard
The inside and outside guards carry out tasks given to them by the grand knight and follow the warden's orders. They are responsible for checking membership cards and allowing entrance to meetings.

Outside Guard
The KoC gives me a greater sense of inclusion in the Parish Family. It has provided me with opportunities to build relationships with people who share my same beliefs and to donate my time to causes that give back to the local community in ways that other organizations cannot. In total, the KoC brings me closer to faith.
Appointed Positions
The following roles are appointed, either by the Bishop, the Grand Knight, or the Council and Trustees.
Fr. Mark Zacker
Chaplain
The chaplain is the spiritual leader of the council. He nurtures the faith in council members particularly through the sacraments but also through spiritual direction, retreats and other events and support.
Marty Hodits
Financial Secretary
The financial secretary is chosen by the trustees and the officers of the council for a three-year term and approved by the supreme knight. He provides continuity in the council and has the responsibility of collecting dues as well as ensuring that the council's financial recordings are kept up to date

Program Director
The appointed program director works with the grand knight to name directors or committee chairs for each of the four program categories. The program director and committee chair are responsible for keeping volunteers motivated.

Faith Director
I joined the Knights to meet a group of men with my Catholic values and get involved. I wanted to give back to our Parish and community and enjoy the people I work with. The Knights of Columbus has given me that.

The family director is appointed by the grand knight and reports to the program director. Responsible for all family-based council programs

The membership director serves as the head of the Admission Committee and works to grow the council's membership through new and transfer members.

Trustees
The trustees advise the grand knight, supervise the council’s financial matters, and conduct the semiannual audits.
