Combined 8909 Council & Ladies Auxiliary KofC 8909 - Douglas County Fair Signup - 2025
Hello Brother Knights, Ladies Auxiliary, and Families,
We have been invited to return back to the Douglas County Fair after the amazing showing we did last year! This is a fun event and a major fundraiser for the council, as well as a major contribution to the community so we’re looking forward to your involvement. Please note that we have a lot of shifts to cover this year as the format and schedule have changed.
As in past years, children 12-14 years and older are welcome to help out in Kirk Hall, 14 years old in the Pavilion Pepsi Center, and 16 years old in the mobile kitchen provided that the parents are present during their shifts. Additionally, hats or hairnets are required for all volunteers.
There are many different types of roles needed, so if you are new to the Fair, there will be plenty of very experienced Knights to help, guide, and train you.
Thank you again for everything you do for the Council, the Parish, and the Community!

Our Foundation
The Knights of Columbus was founded in 1882 by blessed Father Michael McGivney in New Haven, CT. Our council is based on the principles he identified of Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism. We are sponsored by the St. Francis of Assisi parish in Castle Rock, Colorado with the intentions to increase the faith of our members, their families, and the parish as a whole through prayer and service.
Our Founder
The founder of the Knights of Columbus, Father Michael J. McGivney was a central figure in the growth of Catholicism in America, and he remains a model today.
His example of charity, evangelization and empowerment of the laity continues to bear fruit and guide Knights of Columbus around the world.
Our Parish
Welcome to our parish dedicated to Saint Francis of Assisi! We have been working to make saints with Jesus in his Catholic Church since 1888, We are happy to have you with us!
Becoming more and more like Jesus was the mission of Francis.
It’s our mission, too!
Our Faith
Our goal is to help men, their families and their parishes grow closer to Christ. Through our programs and resources, we provide opportunities to live and spread the Catholic faith.
